SESSION FIVE: FACE TO FACE
By the time you arrive at FACE TO FACE: SESSION FIVE you should be well prepared and almost ready for the very special time of meeting with a child.
This session and SESSION ONE : FACE TO FACE are in many respects the most important ones because they provide you with the opportunity to ask questions and obtain clarification on any issues, slight or serious, which through your reading or the online presentations are of interest or concern to you. It is important that you do not hesitate and make full use of these opportunities.
The agenda for this SESSION will include
- The revision of all issues covered in the previous sessions.
- Further role plays involving THE SCRIPT.
- Discussion and refinements to the PLAN OF ACTION.
- Preparation for the practice sessions including a detailed discussion of the DOCUMENT OF CONTACT.
- Allocation of the facility in which your practice sessions will take place and arrangements for contacting the school. There is a document entitled GUIDELINES: ARRANGEMENTS FOR MEETING WITH A CHILD IN A HOST SCHOOL. It can be accessed on the password protected TRAINING DOCUMENTS PAGE and we advise that you are familiar with its content before this session takes place.
